I have just built my first gaming rig in 14 years. Played a ton of MOHAA and BF2, but haven't played anything since those games. What are some fun games I have missed in the past 14 years I should give a try?
I’m sure it would be an OEM key. If I want to give it a shot, what would be the best way to try? Dumb it down for me, haven’t installed an OS since my XP days. I have no disks currently. 7 or 10
Been out of the PC game for a long time. Last rig i built was in 2006. Trying to go cheap and be able to play some games. How does this look?

I just completed all the lost fleet books after reading your recommendation, and I loved them. Have you found anything else similar that you enjoyed?
Thanks,

Bump, after looking into this further, the data will not be in PDF's. It will be a GIS system. So I hope to be able to tap individual parcels on the maps and get additional data.
I have a PDF database that I want to incorperate a large touchscreen monitor in to. I use zoning maps for a county government. We are converting our hard copy maps to the PDFs. I am toying with the idea of using the monitor with a pc. I would love for it to work kinda like an iPad. Bad idea?
We had a former employee who has password protected a file we need to access. It is in .xlsx format. Suggestions? This is not a workbook, it is just a spreadsheet.
I have been using some old dlink router for years, watchin netflix over the wireless connection and such. It seems to be dieing on me now. I live in a remote area and I am not too worried about security. Why should I spend $150 on a router when a $50 one has been meeting my needs? I am on...
Alright, resurecting this thread since I have to make a decision.
I have: An old XP machine with a video card that has Svideo out.
I want: To be able use the xp machine as a DVR to record OTA tv. I need it to have a tv guide like I find with my dish network DVR.
Can I buy a usb tuner and...
I thought about that but by the time I look at parts, I keep running up to $600. Seems if I am going to buy a tuner card, I should get a PCIe, none of my mobo's are PCIe, so on and so on.
I have a ATT DSL connection. It seems to me that my G router already exceeds my download speeds with my DSL. Any point in switching to an N router? I do very little file transfer over the network, so that is not a concern.

I want to disconnect my satellite but need DVR functions for the OTA local stations to accomplish this. My wife is very tech unfriendly, so whatever I come up with has to be super simple. Ideas?
Thanks. Now to figure out what to buy for my HTPC. I have been out of the loop for too long. Its almost like starting over. The last video card I bought was an ATI 1900 xtx. What are those, 4 years old? I haven't even looked at hardware since then.
The 9250 and the 9800 used the same driver, up to a point. But using a driver that supported portrait mode would not support the 9250. My question is, will these 2 2400 pros, one PCI and one AGP play nice?
My video card died in my work PC. It is an old Dell that had a 9800 pro in it. I have 3 1440x900 monitors, but had only been able to use 2 of the monitors. I have a 9250PCI card to run the 3rd monitor but it will not work with current AMD drivers and the old drivers it does work with will not...
I would like to mount a camera about 30' away from my pc. This way, I can see the customers that come into my office. I thought about a webcam but the usb cable length looks like it will be a problem. Suggestions? I would display the image on one of my monitors on my desk.
I need to rotate the screen on a 9250 in an XP pro machine. Anybody know what driver will support that? The 6.11 cats, what AMD says is the current driver, will not do the job.
I am trying to rotate with CCC and also tried a program called Irotate.
