I got mine for $750 shipped Newegg a few weeks back. I was freaked out by IPS glow in a pitch black room using the stand that was waaay too low on my desk, but when I raised it up to eye level with a wallmount and even moderate room lighting, I haven't noticed it since. I'm a fan.

The stand is a piece of shit, but I never use peasant stands on such an expensive display anyway. I can see how curved is worthwhile with such a wide screen, however, the price difference I didn't think was at all worth it. MAYBE $100 difference, no more, and I've never heard of the curved being anywhere close to $850 ($100 more than the new NewEgg recent sale on the flat).

I didn't have a EDU account, and then because I'm in Texas it would have been around $870ish IIRC, so still more than the $100 max I was really willing to pay for the gentle curve feature.
