Virus Infection Battles Brain Cancer

There has been talk about using viruses to combat cancer. Good to see that some progress is being made with this possible treatment. Having known several people in my life being treated for various cancers, anything is better than chemotherapy.

 
We just have to be very careful. We don't need an 'I Am Legend' incident.


As the article says though, this would be a last resort sort of thing. That means treatments like chemo would still probably be used long before this even if it worked on humans.

Well, that's why we fold, so a range of new treatment(s) with less side effects might be devised, whether drug-based or something alternative. A virus treatment would be quite ironic really, considering the fact some cancers are actually caused by viruses.
