Using an XSPC backplate with a Aquacomputer Kryographics Water Block on R9 290?

I was wondering if this would work. Using an XSPC backplate on an R9 290 that has a Aquacomputer Kryographics water block installed. Are these backplates universal or would you need different screws to install them?

In theory, the mounting holes should match up, and the backplate itself shouldn't have any threading, for all intents and purposes of a screw, it would act as a washer.

Thanks I'll try it, although the EK backplates don't have the same mounting holes, only 5 screws from what I see in the picture.

The ek backplates work fine with the aquacomputer blocks. I imagine the xspc backplate would also.

Other screws can go underneath the backplate, as the backplate doesn't sit flush with the card.
