TV and same broadcast over cell phone? timing?

Strange!? I was watching a college football game last night and my brother called from NYC and I noticed I could hear his broadcast over the cell, but it was 2 seconds sooner (mine was behind by 2 seconds). He noticed mine was behind by 2 seconds as well. What's up with that? :confused:
 
you are in different markets with different cable companies. for all i know abc sends the feed directly to nyc for broadcast, and in nyc bounces up the network feed to the satellite.

affilliates don't have the broadcast timed to the second.
