I have a set of speakers that take digital input and have a sub out, and these speakers produce turn on pop in the sub out. This isn't a problem with the sub (occurs with any sub and this set of speakers).
I don't want to replace the speakers. There's nothing wrong with them other than this small problem.
Anything I can do to eliminate the turn on pop?
I imagine there's some sort of circuit that does the following, with x,y,z,w user configurable:
1) If sound goes from nothing (x db) to loud (y db), wait for a moment (z ms), and then turn on
2) If no sound (x db) for some time (w minutes), turn off
If this indeed exists, I could toss it between the sub out and sub in and it would eliminate my problem. Does anyone know more?
