LOL! Nice. Welcome to the club or is it welcome "back" to the club? That G10 has the Neo PDP panel I believe. 1st gen Neo PDP but still good stuff!Yup this thread is giving me bad ideas, picked up a 42g10 for nothing locally.
Its a bit of both, Have a Kuros but have honestly never gamed on it, gamed on a 42pz85u which was a awesome TV and great experienceLOL! Nice. Welcome to the club or is it welcome "back" to the club? That G10 has the Neo PDP panel I believe. 1st gen Neo PDP but still good stuff!
Mmm.... Kuro. I'm honestly thinking of getting a 65 inch plasma. Our 51 inch is a little too small for our big living room. Its a bit of both, Have a Kuros but have honestly never gamed on it, gamed on a 42pz85u which was a awesome TV and great experience
Do it, had mine professionally calibrated and as i have said before nothing else 1080P compares to it, whole family prefers to watch movies on it over my newer setMmm.... Kuro. I'm honestly thinking of getting a 65 inch plasma. Our 51 inch is a little too small for our big living room.

If only we could get another AAA Crysis game in the same manner as the 1st. Not a watered down corridor shooter but one that builds on the strengths of the first while avoiding the mistakes.Man, that takes me back... Gorgeous.
Right? In 2007 too. What the actual fuck.Man, that takes me back... Gorgeous.
I hear ya, my 42" Panny Plasma from 2008 is getting a little too small the past few years. Just can't bring myself to get a 55" or 65" LG OLED yet. Gonna just wait til it dies and then get one from Costco.Mmm.... Kuro. I'm honestly thinking of getting a 65 inch plasma. Our 51 inch is a little too small for our big living room.
I apologize but in what way do you think you just made a case against plasma? To paraphrase, "all the new tech is crap and that's the only reason plasma still looks good." I swear I lost a few brain cells reading your post. The only reason. And the sole only reason that plasma rivals modern tech is because of how outlandishly shitty OLED panels are. Outside of that, plasma is obsolete.

I think what he's getting at is that OLED isn't really a great technology, all things considered. Contrast is good and pixels can fully switch off. Hurray! Other than that, and the power savings from OLED, it's not really that great of a tech when you think about how little it brings to the table, especially when comparing it against older emmisive technologies. If plasma was allowed to have development continued, there's no reason we wouldn't have wide gamut, 4K displays. The Samsung displays were well on their way to competing with OLED on brightness, and they didn't need sample-and-hold to do it.I apologize but in what way do you think you just made a case against plasma? Had he framed his argument in the manner you did, the OP would get no argument from me.I think what he's getting at is that OLED isn't really a great technology, all things considered.
