You don't have to wait. Just buy the originals on the cheap and head to the Nexus for fan made graphical upgrades that will likely more than match these "remasters".

Which Microsoft is going to make bank on. Hopefully you will be able to get them for free if you own the OG's like they did for Skyrim.
I'm mainly waiting for the new DOOM and Dishonored.

Morrowind would have been a much better choice, but I suspect they chose Oblivion and Fallout 3 for easy $$$.

Oblivion is newer. You might enjoy Morrowind more, but it's equivalent of people thinking Daggerfall should be the better choice of a remaster. Newer game equals better sales.

The upside is that there's less for them to screw up with those.
