Mail notification in XP startup screen?

I just switched my mail from Outlook Express to Outlook 2003 and now I get a notification under my name when I bootup my computer (the screen where I choose a user account). How do I get rid of this thing? I really don't need to know how many new e-mails I have until I open Outlook 2003. I've searched the settings in Outlook 2003 and none seem to do anything. Thank you.
