It does seem so, my binary compute module suffered a cosmic ray inversion.The 1080 Ti will be a hair faster than the Titan XP and the Titan XP is a whopping 80% faster than the 980 ti so not sure why some of you are acting like its a measly 40-50% difference. Even when both the 980 ti and 1080 ti are oced the 1080 ti should be around 70 to 75% faster.

I expect only around 150 to 200MHz OC on the 1080ti though, its starting clock will be quite high.
The much lower clocked (standard) 980ti does a lot more.
I expect the 980ti will catch up around 15% once clocked.
I dont mind being wrong cos I'm getting one
