Not sure what platform the game is on (Steam or GOG), I'm assuming there should be no problem redeeming the code even though Steam and some stores aren't selling it directly now due to how bad the game's launch was, apparently the recent updates made it much better but I personally didn't play the game so I wouldn't know.
