My son decided he wanted to replace his 960, so he decided on the EVGA RTX 2070 Black Gaming card. After playing some games he's told me that he has experienced random black screens. He says it will go black for a few seconds and then return to normal. He is using the latest nvidia drivers.
He has experienced it in The Witcher 3, Dead by Daylight, and some golf game. He said he did not experience it at all the whole time playing CS:GO, Apex Legends, or Hunt Showdown, however he said he didn't play Hunt Showdown very long.
Any thoughts here? To me, it doesn't sound faulty; it sounds more glitchy. What should I try? I'm using an HDMI cable to an LG 49" 4k TV. Should I try Displayport? Another cable? Try the last nbidia driver? The only thing I have really done at the moment is install new chipset drivers for his AMD Ryzen motherboard.
