EP45-UD3P newegg mail-in rebate?

I figure I probably have less than a week to send this MB back to newegg and after that I'll have to send it to Gigabyte if anything goes wrong (and it's running fine right now). Anyone know if it's OK to cut the original UPC label off the box to send in with the mail-in rebate? In other words, will Gigabyte be looking for this if the MB has to be sent back to them in about a month or so? Thank you.
