Wish they still made mobo with similar color schemes. Getting tired of black, white, red, and olive camo...Look at what came in the mail. Now if only I could find a 939 cpu to test it with.... Hmmmmm

you can find 939's on ebay for like 20 bucks...
Yep they all clocked about the same too (the opterons). My measly 165 held an air WR at 2.85GHz lol, enough said. They were all 'the best' silicon so there was really no binning, they clocked so hard, 40% wasn't uncommon. Had a 7970 like that too, I love 40% OCs...Yea I grabbed an Opteron 170 for $20. Lol. 4800+, FX-60, and Opteron 180 are pulling wayyyy too high of a premium
2gb was pretty baller then. I think the 1gb kits were slightly faster though which is all I cared about stupidly.. 1gb was the main limit of the rig in the end.Had one of those and a opteron 165. And 2 gb of ram. I miss those days.
Boy that board was a pain in the balls to get working right.

Right. I can't tell if it's broken or just being difficult. It doesn't recognize any drive connected to SATA 1-4, tried reflashing BIOS, still not working. Tried an IDE drive, hung up during Windows install....RIP.
Exactly. I built several systems using that motherboard right before I started reviewing motherboards. I ran into one that worked perfectly and five or more that didn't. It was sometimes hard to tell the difference between a defective board and one that was just being difficult.
That board bring backs memory. My DFI+Opteron 165 was still my favorite+ most frustrating O/Cing board ever!
Can you imagine what things would have looked like if RGB was a thing then?
I miss it too! I’ve thought about getting one again just for retro kicksThat board bring backs memory. My DFI+Opteron 165 was still my favorite+ most frustrating O/Cing board ever!
yep, I remember hangin around xtremesystems forums back then and having oscar make us tweaked bios's for this said board. JESUS CHRIST did he make my TCCD ram FUCKING FLY in that boardDFI was the indirect downfall of Abit when Oscar jumped ship. And that made me sad
What happened to DFI? Did someone buy them out?
im not smart enough to understand what that meansThey were running their corporate backend on their own products.
