Don't mind used at all. Can increase the budget a bit if the performance boost is worth it.

Will be gaming at 1080p (max settings whenever possible) and hoping for 60FPS most of the time, FFXIV:ARR is the game I'll probably play the most, along with Skyrim (+mods), Dark Souls, LoL and some FPS games every once in a while.

Rest of system in sig.

My vote would be HD 7970....after rebate and discount I'm down around $220...and if i sell the game package on ebay would put me under a $200 investment.

King of the hill again... HD7950. or if you can find a good deal on a HD7970 still better..

Thanks for replying both of you.

How much do 7970, 7950s and 670s go for used these days? Don't see 'em much in the FS forum.

Also, I haven't been keeping up with the GPU news much lately, should I be aware about something worthwhile (whether green or red) being released soon that might change the prices?

7950 3gb cards were selling for under $200 after rebate 4-5 days ago, but then the prices jacked up to almost $300 a couple of days ago. My brother picked up an XFX 7950 3gb DD for $180 after rebate with 4 games a few days ago, and I should have grabbed one as well.

This one is still priced low,

This is the card my brother got a few days ago, was priced at $209, $179 after rebate,
