So happy Nintendo owns this IP now and very VERY happy they are keeping it adult / mature.

No, the game simply would not exist if not for Nintendo. Nintendo was the only one willing to give Platinum money to make it. It was either a WiiU only title or bust.
 
Can't speak for the rest of the world, but I don't think horned rimmed glasses and stiletto heels is going to fly in the US. Maybe with the transgender crowd, but really I think it would be a tough sell.

The first game had a decent cult following behind it. It's not like the game was ever intended to be a major AAA title anyway.
 
It's a shame honestly that this game is on WiiU only, I definitely would have bought it on the PS4. I just won't buy a WiiU to play this one game. The first game was great IMHO. The story well was nuts, but the game mechanics were awesome. I thought the combat system was better than many of the games in that genre released at the time. It was probably one the best made Devil May Cry clones.

I did watch some footage on a Jet flying over a city or something looks kinda decent if you own a Wii U that is which I don't

Then buy a Wii U for all of the other good games on it, and get this in the process.

That's the problem isn't it, there are no other good games on the WiiU (not even on the upcoming titles). I don't think there is even one other listed that I would even consider buying except Bayonetta 2 lol. Anything that might have appealed I own already on either another console or PC. I might want to play Bayonetta 2, but I don't $300+ like it ;).

To each their own, but I've had a blast with Mario 3D world, Zelda WW, Mario Kart 8, Nintendo Land, Pikmin 3...

I'm really looking forward to Bayonetta 2. Loved the first one.
 
I never played Bayonetta but this game looks Devil May Cry-ish. Is that a good comparison? I loved the first DMC back in the day and this game looks excellent.

The creator/director of Bayonetta is the same guy that created and directed Devil May Cry (among other notable titles) so it's an apt comparison.
 
To all the guys crying that this isn't for _____ console, you do realize the only reason this exists is because Nintendo is funding it? If not for that, there would be no Bayonetta 2, similar to Devil's Third or Wonderful 101. Also, you're batshit blind if you think no other great games are already on or going to be on Wii U. Hell, the console has more EXCLUSIVE great games on it than XBone and PS4 combined. I have my PC for the plethora of multiplats.
 
Pre ordered it for the wife. She's a... fan... of the series.

Also, you not liking a game doesn't mean it's not "good". Again, your problem.

Looking forward to this one and glad they're including the original since I missed it.
