ASRock Z77 OC Formula fits in the Corsair 500r case

I looked high and low for this information. Everything I read online indicated I would need to cut a hole in my case to mount this CEB form factor board. But I couldn't find one confirmed installation of this specific board in this specific case.

Most websites indicate the ASRock Z77 OC Formula is an E-ATX motherboard. This is incorrect. This motherboard is a CEB form factor board, being nearly an inch wider than ATX 9.6". The Corsair 500R cannot fit an E-ATX board. It can fit some CEB boards with modification. However, I'm happy to report the ASRock Z77 OC Formula fits in the Corsair 500r without modification to the case. However, the bottom row of SATA ports are blocked. This means one only has access to the top row of SATA ports, which numbers five.
 
good to know. i'm debating between this and the asus z77 deluxe. I have the same case. I like this price, but I like the 16+4 power phase vs the 12+4 on this one....
