3rd 24inch IPS 1200P for surround or should I be looking at 4k??

Friends are saying I should get a 3rd screen for surround. Should I be getting a 3rd 24 inch 1200p screen for surround (Battlefield 4, Battlefront, Fallout 4, Final Fantasy 14) If so should I just get a 3rd Dell 2412M. Or is something better for about the same price now?

Or is 4k screens what I should be looking at? I don't do 4k editing work yet but that may come in the future.
 
Many people who switched from triple screen setups to a single, large 4k monitor are pretty happy with it. Unless you want to do high refresh rate triple monitor setup I would say go for a large 4k monitor.

Can confirm, went from 120Hz surround to just 1x 40" UHD monitor + side 24" 120Hz strobing monitor for the occasional tryhard FPS sessions.
 
Can a big display (e.g. 40-48") used as a monitor actually give a better experience than a "traditional" size (24"-27") surround set? I've heard about it when using wide screen 34" displays but have yet to hear about big 16:9 displays...
