It's not a fake problem.
It's literally revoking you being able to play, having already purchased the game and having been playing, depending on where you live.
It was a _major_ issue in the making
Plus the optics were absurdly awful from the start. Now you can't play the game you own and have been playing. Cya, you're fucked.
It was such a screamingly obvious slow moving disaster. I don't know what they were thinking. I'm assuming the devs were hopeful this could of been resolved in time...
The graphics aren't exactly state of the art, but Persona 5 and the recent remake of Persona 3 are style incarnate, if you're looking for turn based JRPGs.
5 especially is spectacularly good
I really wish Square would swing this direction again for a game.
Look at the Path Tracing numbers and it's even more egregious, where the ray tracing workload dominates and is about as heavy as you can possibly get.

You can really see the raw RT gen...
I did work for a company that refused to take action on a server that had RDP open to the Internet. I tried everything possible to get them to do _anything_ about the fucking thing. Got shot down on everything.
They got crypto'd a couple years later. A user on said server had a shit password...
I mean, it's gotta absolutely clap cheeks to catch up in any meaningful way.
Nvidia has been practically doubling their RT performance each generation. I'm assuming the 5 series will yet again be a giant gain.
18.7%
Still not sure how people are getting bit by these? Are they squatting common typos? I guess people just glance over that they have zero pulls... and then click a random link and get phished or download something!?
Or I just look at the Dockerfile. Then I know what's on it.
I'm sure it says somewhere in the manual that the hardware is intended to be a ticking time bomb and I need to race to tweak bios settings to prevent it from quite literally crashing and burning at what is supposed to be stock settings.
This is fucking stupid
Reviews were pretty mixed, even if sales were good.
I assume they figured the lightning was out of the bottle and they wouldn't see those numbers again because expectations are set.
So they took the W and left it at that.
It was... alright in my opinion. The beginning is kind of a slog and...
They literally don't even have the word "hard" in your source.
They literally refer to it as "the r-word."
Which, in case it wasn't obvious, these are two different strings of text.
"hard-r"
"r-word"
Yes it has haha
I can't believe I'm even checking urban fucking dictionary to make sure I'm not going insane.
It's always primarily been a reference to the n word.
Why do you think eyes went wide when Linus' stupid ass said he was "dropping hard r's"
Because that's the default connotation...
this has been slang for well over a decade in the US - and it's always overwhelmingly been racial in that realm.
Does this surprise anyone. The people that bitch are the vocal minority.
Nier: Automata has sold like 8 million copies.
An actually good game will sell regardless and most people...
Until your project has a few hundred thousand lines of gameplay code... and multiple terrabytes of assets... and your resident engine dev has made their own changes...
Literally how a bunch of people got their Ring cameras "hacked" a while back.
I think they started forcing MFA eventually?
Loved when every so often one of those sextortion scams would sneak though the filters and someone where I used to work would call in a panic about how someone has their...
I know someone who has seemingly been bitten by those crashes.
Worse is it seems to degrade the processor over time and they get worse and worse. Eventually it's basically unusable under any kind of load.
I think they're on their 3rd processor now, having also replaced the mobo. The first 2...
It worked with literally any Microsoft account that was locked from failed logins. You could even just hammer your own account like 5-10 times.
This is why the also common "[email protected]" one worked. Citi Bank owns this domain.
This was just a failsafe that people abused.
RIP the poor bastard who legitimately owns that email and hasn't been able to log into their Microsoft account for ages because it's perpetually hitting the bad login limit and getting timed out.
I think this does actually work now and you can run X86 images on Mac. Might just need to...
This can happen in WoW too.
Naturally their support has gotten shittier and shittier so good luck getting a human to unfuck your account in a meaningful timeframe.
I recently used ChatGPT to generate additional exam questions for a cert. I did about 500 questions that were included in practice tests I purchased, then probably another additional 100 though GPT 4.
It was helpful, though tended to drift towards the easier side because it liked to write very...
I'm pretty sure I remember finding some planetary alignment of multiple rebates on a 260 right after it got discounted and I got it for like $200 or something silly.
I might have even found the deal on these forums
Served me well
I think he's referencing that RISC-V is (intentionally) very lax and flexible with custom extensions to the ISA. Makes sense for embedded and low power where you want to have functionality in hardware.
Isn't that the dude who is most likely on steroids and thinks aids doesn't exist and wifi makes your brain leak
Fiber isn't really a guaranteed dedicated line per person - FIOS is split, for example. They can technically oversubscribe, but there's probably enough bandwidth that you're pretty...
Obligatory https://xkcd.com/2347/
I feel for this dude, shit situation.
I imagine unlocking the "nation state tried to infiltrate my project and wreak untold havoc" achievement is quite a lot to take in.
