I listed some old game disks in the freebie thread before I throw them out/recycle them. They were all before the time of your cd keys getting linked to an online account. I also have some other games were the keys are linked to my accounts (Origin and Battle.net) so the keys are no longer...
Doing some cleaning and found a bunch of older games. I know some people out there like collecting this stuff. Just the cases, case inserts (with CD keys) and disks, I don't have any of the manuals or boxes.
Please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe all these games were before you linked your...
Doesn't work with Sata drives, the older Intel toolbox told me it couldn't secure erase on win8/10/11. I finally found Adata SSD Toolbox would let me secure erase it, forgot I had it installed since I removed the Adata SSD a while ago.
I have several Intel 320 sata SSDs I'm trying to secure erase so I can give them away instead of throwing them in the trash. I tried a bootable USB with DOS and HDDerase, the software will start but then freeze after I get past the initial disclosures. I tried Partedmagic on USB but it won't...

Been my OS drive since I got it in Sept. 2018. Was running out of space and picked up a 2TB drive a few weeks ago.

Last time there was a possiblility of a hurricane where I live (Florida) I saw a guy in a pickup pumping gas into a couple of 50-60 gallon garbage cans. Somebody had already called the cops but they werent there yet and I didn't stick around to see how it turned out.
Are you using custom fan curves? If you are just using default or preset fan curves they can be extremely noisy. I don't have any of my fans spin up more than 1600rpm unless my temps hit 90C which should never happen (depends on your CPU). I have them idle around 600 so they are dead quiet.
You should be able to set a 4 point fan curve directly in the BIOS as well if you wanted to. Also since they are 3-pin fans make sure they are set to DC mode and not PWM. According to MSI the CPU_FAN1 and PUMP_FAN1 are default PWM and all the SYS_FAN are default DC.
EDIT: According to NZXT they...
You can install MSI Dragon Untitly for fan control, it will give you 4 points you can adjust. You should be able to have the fans run around 500-600 rpm at idle temps, you will have to play with the fan speed control to figure out what % that speed would be. Then set that % for anything under...
Older models the fans connected the the Kraken unit and were controlled with CAM. In the new model that isn't the case. You connect the fans to your MB and have to use your MB's fan control or some other compatible software while also having to use CAM to control the pump.
You can avoid all...
The reason all the guides are years old is because speedfan was abandoned a while ago and doesn't work on most newer stuff. I was able to get it to work on my Z170, but most anti-cheat software will flag it and make you disable it to play games. I ended up buying Argus Monitor and have been...
The 20 series price/performance compared to the 10 series was a joke. At least it looks like that will be a little better with the 30 series. It seems like just a marginal improvement for people like me in the $3-400 range though. I'm guessing the 3060 will be comparable to the 2070S but $400...
I think everybody is overestimating how the prices will drop. When the $500 2070S was released everybody thought 1080ti prices would drop. They still sold for over $5-600 because no AIB 2070S cards sold for anywhere near $500 and stock was low. This was after actual reviews were out and people...
Cleveland has cardboard cutouts of fans as well as fake crowd noise on the broadcast (they also have a recording of the drum that plays in the outfield). I don't think the crowd adds anything for watching a broadcast, in person it is totally different. I also usually just have the game on in the...
Heatware added, I thought it was in my signature (which I sould update since I sold the 1080ti a long time ago).
Nothing wrong I just haven't played any games in months and I don't see anything interesting coming out this year.

Bought it in March to get back into gaming but that never happened. It is the later revision with better thermal pad placement. Comes with original box and all accessories.

When the 2070 Super and 5700XT came out I thought the same thing but it didn't happen for several months. For a few months it was cheaper to buy a new 2070 Super than a used 1080ti.
I forgot they use USB and their own software. When you said it used the CPU fan header I assumed it was an older model that just ran off the header. I tried to avoid ones with extra 'features' that just seem to complicate things.

What motherboard do you have? Did you run out of fan headers? Do you have other fans in the system as well?
The silverstone lets you control multple fans with 1 motherboard fan header. The Noctua requires you to manually adjust your fans with a knob.
I don't have an NZXT aio but the Fractal and Corsair ones that I have once you turn the fans down to 6-800 rpm the pump noise is by far the loudest thing. The pump can be controlled just like a fan with the MB header, turn it down at idle.
I've not had an AM4 socket yet, but ever since I can remember it was standard practice to twist the heatsink so that you didn't pull the CPU out of the socket. Is that not good enough anymore or have people just gotten used to Intel where it isn't necessary (I still do it though).
I use Argus Monitor and my motherboard headers, but I have enough motherboard headers. From the way you said you only have 5 it sounds like that might not be enough. I use it to control by GPU and CPU temp instead of just CPU temps.
Monitor arrived, no dead/stuck pixels. The curved thing is weird but I think I'll get used to it. 1440 res is great for having two things open next to each other, 1080 was a little too small for that. A lot of websites are narrow leaving a bunch of wasted space which is much more noticeable...
I would look into how a new CPU would compare to using your 2080ti for video editing. If the 2080ti is going to be faster than any of the CPUs for editing you will have no use for so many cores.

Alternatively you can make your own. It's been a while but if I remember right you run all the power and ground wires to a molex or sata, run all the PWM control wires to the...
If they are PWM you can get a cheap splitter (only 4 fans but it was the first google result) that will power the fans with a molex connector and control them from the motherboard header (you can also make your own). If they are not PWM it gets more complicated.
