Im surprised with no online requirement, i expected it to say something like 'in order to bring this vast world to life and give best user experience, an online connection is required, even if you don't buy the game' :ROFLMAO:
at least most of us here will be safe :)
The caveat with Windows 11 Home is that BitLocker encryption is only applied through the device manufacturer, and only if the manufacturer enables the encryption flag in the UEFI. So, DIY PCs running Windows 11 Home probably won't be affected.
Just a guess, but 3rd party sales being down is probably from spending less money on 3rd party exclusives. It seems epic giving up on this strategy finally? They don't even mention it in the above link.
Im not sure epic and MS would see eye to eye on the % cut from every sale, unless MS is willing only take like 10% or less otherwise epic probably wouldn't have it.
are they much lower though? of the ones in the OP, most aren't even on epic and the ones that are, the only one i see cheaper is back 4 blood and that's only by 1$. Randomly checking other games they are mostly all the same price. maybe im missing something or i guess if you factor in the...
Its good game and i ended up enjoying it. it started off kinda slow but at one point just started to click for me, ended up with about 50 hours in this one.
I typically dont use mods so i can't suggest any, probably best bet would be to check nexus mods or google top 10 mods for Starfield. unfortunately you probably wont get much help here.
It currently has more concurrent players than fortnite, assuming fortnite.gg is accurate.
And that's just on steam, not counting gamepass players.
Not cup of tea but this is crazy.
i could be remembering wrong, but it seemed like the online check was more about drm, kinect and blocking used games, meaning no reselling even for physical disks?
the reviews are weird, i see some with over 400 hours yet 'not recommended' lol. i can't put 400 hours in a game i enjoy let alone one that i dislike. this has to be some kind of record of the most hated played game ever.
actually base sale prices seem to be the same across the stores where games overlap, difference is the coupon on epic over 15$.
ended up getting skyrim SE as my original version kept crashing with the Enderal mod. i want spiderman but will probably wait til next year for even cheaper price...
perhaps, but its not like steam isn't growing and getting new users also. it will be interesting to see the stats at the end of 2023, but in 2022 steam had an avg of 83k first time buyers every single day in 2022.... that seems insane to me...
maybe epic could work on providing some value/reason to use their store? GOG has their niche with drm free games, steam has good feature set and even windows store has games pass and few 'play anywhere' games with xbox. with epic i get 'timed exclusives' and good cut for devs? the latter i...
So wonder what happens in another five years when they still aren't profitable? cause you know they are just going to double down on this same strategy as long as fortnite continues to bankroll the store.
Saying there are no contracts in the US is false, there are many contractors in the US, especially in IT. all though the terms of those contracts i have no idea and probably greatly different than other countries i assume.

Tim admits we are 'spending way more than we earn'
wow I didnt realize they could spend more than fortnite earns.
This is cool, I wish I would have thought of this. I've played through 1.0 and again sometime later, although I enjoyed them and didn't have much issues, would be cool to go back and see the actual differences.
Love this about drm free games.
Not sure if mentioned yet, but they walked back on some of this ' says it will only charge for an “initial install" and demos won't count. Saw this on destructiod. But install on 2nd device will count.
I've been full time wfh for about 10 years now thankfully, not having to deal with that craziness lol.
But even 10 years ago we had auto flushing toilets, I can't imagine large companies not having those wth.
well in your case, where it sounds like you have a bunch of untrustworthy and immature employees, (holy $hit not flushing toilets and leaving trash laying around wtf) yes they should probably be in the office full time so someone can baby sit them, no argument there, but that is not the case in...
its funny some of these companies like google have always talked about trying to reduce carbon footprint and reducing pollution and being green etc. but when presented with one of the biggest options to reduce emissions, Nope F that, everyone needs to start commuting back in the office!
