I used to think that any supported version of Windows is good enough for many uses. Windows 11 has changed my opinion. Everything I read about Windows 11 seems awful. (I've never actually used it though.)
Any tips on finding good CompactFlash cards with a max capacity of 2GB? Is it just a matter of sifting through eBay and trying to guess which cards are legit?
I ordered a FinePix S2 digital camera. It takes CompactFlash formatted with FAT16, which is why I have to find low capacity cards.
Last year I bought Spigen screen protectors and lens protectors for an iPhone 14. I believe each was a two pack, and I only needed one each. If you are interested, PM me and I'll see what I still have lying around.
I am ignorant and I don't know what happened. Why did "AI" explode into news, marketing, investing, etc? I just never bothered to dig into it. Anyone care to chime in to educate a know-nothing?
Very succinctly stated:
This could be a quote of some character in some novel by Thomas Pynchon or William Gibson.
A vignette into odd choices America (or some Americans) made vis-à-vis US rivals.
I wonder if any Swedes wonder how it is that Volvo cars became Chinese.
For that matter, do the...
Recently, my car wouldn't move out of my garage because the battery discharged -- probably my fault. AAA turned out to be pretty much useless because they would only help with a new battery on the condition that the new battery would be sold to me by AAA. I wanted a specific kind of battery from...
I have a brand new Lightning to USB-C cable that came with iPhone 14. It was never used. A PayPal payment of 5.50 should cover postage with ample wrapping. PM me for an exact quote.
I ended up ordering a regular iPhone 14 in starlight (white). And then I saw your comment and wondered if I got the wrong color. But at a glance I'm not seeing a bare metal choice on that phone. Thermally, I thought white might at least reflect some sun off the phone occasionally.
The link I posted above listed a litany of problems, so it's nice to know some of you are having no trouble. I guess I'll be open to getting iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro.
Does the iPhone 15 series generally operate or charge at significantly higher temperatures?
You are implying that some over-reaction occurred, which isn't hard to believe.
Most discussions of electrostatic discharge are about opening a case and handling internal components. But what about when a computer is just sitting there with the case closed? Are there are any common hazards? I'm wondering about possible precautions during handling, transporting, storing, and...
The problems that have been reported are terrifying, so it's refreshing to see your positive comments. I was considering a risk-averse purchase of iPhone SE or iPhone 14.
Well, I guess I better get ready to learn something new. What is a legitimate use of a postal money order? Are you saying it can't be used for goods and services, or just specific kinds?
Reports of problems don't inspire confidence.
Should most people who are shopping for an iPhone this year ignore all that and go straight to the newest phones?
I really don't mean for this to be a loaded question and would appreciate honest opinions.
iPhone 15 Pro is one I am considering...
If I'm reading this right, Samsung now has this deal with no coupon and free shipping. If you have a Chase credit card, you may be targeted for additional fifteen per cent off for a few days via Chase offers. Not to mention that Amazon is running a deal too.
I would like to see more people willing to use postal mail for payment, though the unique risks therein must be kept in mind. I've done at least a couple of deals with postal money orders. There were no problems that I recall (though these deals happened years ago).
Beyond the official rules, I'm wondering what extra steps traders are taking to make things safer.
Is there a reason to make one's email address visible in HeatWare? I thought I heard years ago about people who like to compare the address in HeatWare against the address in PayPal.
Also, I've...
My Dell Precision T1650 has a diagnostics function in the BIOS. It indicates several relevant temperatures. Is this a good way to make sure cooling is adequate in a PC that is otherwise not suspected of having a problem? Do most or all Dell systems have this?
Is there a better way to check...
