samsung laptop - cardreader stopped working

until last week the card reader in my samsung 730u3e laptop worked fine.
But now it stopped working.
When i insert a sd card nothing happens.
The card isn't shown in explorer nor in disk management.

I can find the card reader in hardware manager and status says it works.

anyone has an idea what might be wrong ?

Strange.
If you really need it that bad and still have a warranty, I'd say return it for a quick fix.
I've never really dealt with a problem like that, nor do I know anyone whos had that problem

just for information, i sent the laptop in for repair.
they replaced the card reader and now everything works fine again.
