I wouldn't worry about power draw, as with zero-core most of the time its idle power usage will be low, and most people don't game for more than 3 hours a day max, so your electricity bill really won't be noticeable.

What I would worry about however is noise, as the 290x air-cooled version of this ran too hot and noisy from what I read. That'd be OK if you are running this as a powerful centralized rig in a cooled server room in a closet somewhere along with all your AV equipment, and then just port it to different rooms, but if its sitting right next to your desk that's no good. You'll want a nice watercooled setup.
