some big ass pyramid looking device. I wish I knew what console that was.
Are you talking about his?
LOL thanks for that link.My PC Gaming started on a TRS-80 Model 1 in 1981, loading games by Big 5 Software from a casette deck LOL
Big 5 was one VERY talented group of kids (yes, kids) who learned how to program the Z80 in Machine code and what they did with pixels the size of rice grains is amazing.
They still have a web site up LOL

4th grade gaming asteroids, space invaders in monochrome ohhh yeah!!!
Turning 40 in few months. Still trying to play, but with kids now my time is severely limited. Actually, the biggest problem is my 4 year old who got addicted to Battlefield 2 bot matches so i had to cut him off by pretending that my computer is not working anymore. So that means i can't play either when he's up.
Started on Commodore 64, actually there was one console before that, but i don't remember the name. It looks like this hobby will stay with me until the end. I can only imagine games and graphics when i'm so old that i can't see shit anymore... Yey Battlefield 73
Oh yeah! Flying turkeys LOL. My favorite show back in the 70's, and Bailey was HOT in those tight jeans.Happy Thanksgiving compadres! How many of you remember this show?

This is like asking how old farts still ride a bicycle. As long as you can see, hear, react, and plan, there is no age too old. My Dad is 50 and played his first video game in about 1973. But he still so enterjectic in this game as a new comer. He is very good in poker and Indian rummy also and know all the rules for rummy. i also like the game and spent my spare time in playing this game online.
Almost 30 and find maybe a few hours a week. What also changed is my patience with learning curves, in that it's gone. Hahaha
Do you older folk think professional gaming is possible at age 60? I know reflexes slow as you age, but how much does actively gaming counteract that?

It could be something fun to do after you retire.
I'm thinking more about people that were good enough to be professional gamers at age 20 but gave it up to get a "real job". Then after they retire have the financial independence and time they need to dedicate to it.
I'm 34, and although i still buy several games I generally just play dota 2 when I have free time to play. Oddly enough I ended up befriending a group of teenagers that play dota 2 as well that live on west coast of the US (I live in Tennessee) and play dota 2 most nights and some other games from time to time with them lol.
There is another dude that is 30 that plays with us too and lives in New Mexico, he just came out to visit me for a weekend last month and we had a blast. Been playing with this group for nearly 2 years now. I used to play in the competitive Team fortress classic scene for a while when it was big from like 1999 to mid 2000s and i'm just an average dota player but playing with the group is the most fun i have nowadays.
i have been going to lans with guys in their mid 20s and early 30s. i felt a little out of place the first few times but they are all super guys and have made me feel like one of the crew instead of the old guy.
I find it very interesting what you all think is old.. 30's 40's?? old... not even close Ill be 65 in a few and even though my hands are crippled up and I cant see worth a darn.. Im still there gaming. Keeps your mind fluid..
besides.. Id be so bored I might be forced to watch tv now that would be bad.
