Sorry, double (tripple) post. I got error while submitting this topic, so I re-submitted...

How many dead pixels and subpixels do you have?

I can also create more detailed poll, if you want :)

If you don't know what dead (sub)pixels are, look here.

No dead pixels or sub-pixels on either of my two monitors.

1. NEC LCD2690WUXi = 11 months old
2. Planar PX191 = 6 years old

1(2: still in the box) Samsung 2693hm = 0
1 Sony PremierPro SDM-P232W/B = 0
1 Soyo 19" = 0
1 AWC/Non-Brand = 0

No dead or stuck pixels on my 24" LG. One stuck green one on my 2001FP, but no dead ones.

One dead/stuck (very dark red, probably a dead, but iunno) on my new 26in Acer, unfortunately.

Old 20in Samsung had a stuck red and blue.

I have bad luck :(

I've got no dead or otherwise screwed up pixels on any of my monitors.

Monitors:

Dell 3007WFP
Viewsonic VP201s
Viewsonic VX2025wm

I've also got three laptops without any stuck or dead pixels. A Compaq of some kind (girlfriends laptop) and a Lenovo for myself and one IBM Thinkpad that work supplied to me.

I had one stuck pixel on one of my 19" LG's, but it got unstuck on it's own. Both are about 2 years old now.

I have a MAG 17" with a teal colored stuck pixel in the lower right hand corner for my work PC, and my (now dying) Samsung SyncMaster 930B now has four dead pixels scattered in the lower right hand corner. Ugh. Time for a new monitor.

1) LG 47" TV - 1 dead blue subpixel

2) 2nd LG47" TV - 1 dead pixel

3) LCD2690wuxi - no dead pixels, about 4-5 temporarily stuck pixels at any time that appear all over the place, but they dissapear with a tiny nudge or changing backgrounds/video playback

4) 15" Lenovo laptop - 3 dead pixels

5) Dell 2001FP - 1 stuck green pixel

6) Dell 1904FP - 3 dead pixels

7) Sony 17" S-IPS - 1 stuck red pixel

8) Sony 15" S-IPS - 0 dead/0 stuck

Most people have em and just don't realize em. Then again, ignorance is bliss.

The higher the pixel density, the harder they are to find. On a bigger screen (or a 720/1080 TV, the pixels are freakin HUGE and they are obvious).

Chimei 22inch TN panel - 1 dead pixel that looks like a spec of dust in the lower left corner.

Chimei 19inch TN panel - 0

Acer 17inch, unknown panel - 0

Dell 17inch, unknown panel - 0

From now on though, I am not EVER testing a monitor again. If I cant plainly see them, I will be much happier not knowing because once I know its there... my eye will eternally be drawn towards it.

Zero on my Samsung 226bw.
Had one subpixel stuck on blue on an old Samsung 171s I used to have. I see Samsung has zero dead pixel policy in some markets but not in North America.
