Not dealing with the rebate for outstanding issues/compatibility especially when the metal bracket apparently isn't even measured correctly.

Seems like the omission of an auxiliary power port is causing issues.

With that being said, its still a good deal. It seems like it works great for USB 2.0 devices, so worst case scenario is that you get 2 more USB 2 ports.

If it didn't involve 4myrebate.com (aka worldwiderebates.com) I would have done it despite the negatives, dealing with rebates, and the VISA prepaid cards. I will never ever give those disreputable goons my personal information, which is worth far more than any rebate. Considering how shady everything they do is (ffs they even designed rebate checks to self destruct in the mail to lower the redemption rates) I would not be surprised to get ID thefted very quickly after doing so. They're bad. Really bad.

Over the last few years their inclusion as the rebate processor has been a deal breaker for me more times than I can possibly count.
