Clear URL's from Address Bar in Firefox

Anybody know how to stop URL's from being saved in the address bar with the newest Firefox? You used to be able to make the history.dat file read only and it would fix it but now it makes it so I cant download anything. Anybody know?

You can set the Clear Private Data tool to run when you close firefox.
