If you're listening to music mostly, yeah I think they're pretty damn good. Especially since it can be had for around $25. I say go for it because I can almost guarantee it'll be 100 times better than your onboard sound. I have one in my rig along with a SB Live. Live for gaming, the AV-710 for music. Pretty sweet deal, if you ask me.
