Okay, thought we needed a thread about the new Apple 27-inch Cinema Display that was announced a few days ago.

The price on U2711 is actually pretty close to the new 27" Apple in some countries but Dell has much better connectivity options - but no LED.

Apple will start shipping the models this september. Hopefully some of you guys will give some feedback if you choose to buy the screen.

What do you think?
 
I'm sure other manufacturers do this too but I find it funny how apple pokes fun at PCs for having cords and then they photoshop out the cords from their monitor when viewed from the side. Seems a bit unfair
 
I guess this will be like the iMac's screen but without the rest of the hardware.

And for the price i really doubt is going to be close to the u2711. You can compare Apple cinema display 24 with dell's u2410, there is like $300 to $400 difference.

So maybe Apple cinema display 27" = $1300 - $1400 starting price?
