woah crazy, I mean I get it there wasn't THAT much difference but why the height of the 5/4 adapter LOL, it only needed to be tall enough to engage the locking tabs and provide another set of tabs... LOTS of wasted space on that PCB.

and is that molex for additional power?

Probably for the power regulation built-onto DDR5----rather than on the motherboard.
