Sold Airpods 2 pro over a month ago and now buyer says they are attached to apple id still

Not sure what to do here. I've sold 1000s of items and never an issue. The airpods pro 2 are not attached to my ID when I check in find my devices. It was removed the day they were put up for sale. Now this guy took over a month to say anything but he also confirmed the trade a week after he got them.

This was on Reddit appleswap. I sent him a pic of find my devices proving it's not on my account. Any opinions on what's going on here? I feel like he now doesn't want them and trying to get out of them. I have no problem taking things back if it was noticed right away.

I told him he needs to call Apple since it's not attached to my account. So not sure what the issue is as he really didn't go into detail other than I left it on my apple id.
