According to AMD, Threadripper 2 CPUs support "up to 2tb ram".
However, most of the TR4 motherboards I read the specs of, declare support for "up to 128gb ram".
Are you aware of any TR4 motherboard that will support more than 128gb ram?
If not, has anyone tried to install more than 128gb ram...
We have been hammering on the MSI MEG X399 Creation motherboard with all sorts of 2nd Gen Threadripper for a about a week now, and it has not missed a beat. MSI did just get its product page posted on this board if you are interested, and video to show off its highlights as well. We got in too...
Josh Walrath (@JoshDWalrath) of PCPer fame, is talking a bit about the new Threadripper CPUs coming out, and we have a bit of clarity to add to his comments. He was asked "Will the new Threadrippers require new motherboards? Will it still be X399?

YouTuber and extreme overclocker De8auer has gotten an Epyc CPU working on an X399 Threadripper motherboard.. sort of. In his testing Der8auer has found that there is a single ID pin on Epyc that when covered, will allow you to partially boot an Epyc CPU. The BIOS stopped loading at memory...

This seems like a pretty good deal. I'm a bit concerned about those mobo reviews though.

GIGABYTE X399 Aorus Gaming 7 TR4 Motherboard Review
We review GIGABYTE’s X399 Aorus Gaming 7 and see how it stacks up in the world of HEDT motherboards. This motherboard is not priced all that high considering the amount of features it touts and certainly it is not priced high for the stability...
It is not secret that we have very much liked the last two MSI SLI Plus series motherboards we have reviewed. I was taking the X399 SLI Plus out of the box this morning and getting it set up for testing and thought it was worth sharing a few pictures of just how simple this motherboard is...
While AMD missed its originally promised date of September 25th, it has followed through on its promise of NVME RAID support on new X399 motherboard that support Ryzen Threadripper. AMD has posted full instructions for usage on its community pages. This all sounds like a very good use of all...

I am creating this thread to welcome sources of confirmation to clarify or confirm the degree to which each X399 MB has support for ECC. I imagine this is a subject of great importance in this community, since Threadrippers are bound to end up in a plenty of workstations.
I've been trying to...
