I just went on a 45-mile round trip to get a new supply and failed to see that this model is built with a 140mm fan. Corsair 750w.
The belly fan will be installed into a hole that is closer to 120mm. I really don't like shutting off air that the PSU needs for cooling.
I shouldn't have...
haven't done the buzzer. I checked the supply with a paper clip between the green and a black wire and still nothing. I will try this new one tomorrow.
I disconnected everything. That includes all but the CPU fan and 2 sticks of memory. The HD LED, the power LED, power and power reset are all slipped into the ASUS "Q" connector which only allows for correct placement.
I do get a light on the mobo which was covered by the second GPU before...
It all started with my daughter wanting the Antec P182 SE (mirrored) case. Never again will I try to fit an SLI system into a mid-tower case. I have spent many hours with cable management and have everything set up right. I go to turn on the power and dead silence.
The PSU doesn't even turn...
FYI,
From the Maxtor website!

Read in left column
My Bad!
It says, "2X faster than previous Maxline" not Diamond Max10
I am humbled, by jumble.. :(
I understand that there is no slave now. But, the boot drive is connected to the SATA2 port, so I don't get it as far as that is concerned. Also, the current boot drive is listed second in the BIOS.
I have the following complete systems.
P-100, P-133, P166, P2-450, P3-700, Athlon 750, P3-933
I also have some monitors and parts.
Would you want all of these? If so, I'll need hella packing peanuts unless you have a better packing suggestion. You'll want these cases right?
I have an...
It's not the boot order that I'm particularly concerned about. It's that I have two physical master drives. Shouldn't one of the two SATA drives be a slave?
There are some differences.
1) NCQ of the Maxline is twice as fast as the Diamond Max10
2) Maxline has an MTBF of 1,000,000 hours
3) I bought 3 Diamond Max 10 and two were bad. I bought 1 Maxline III and no problem.
I have two drives but the PC boots into the second SATA drive rather than the first. When I put a new drive in, I tried to install XP on it and use it for my boot drive. However, the second drive already had XP on it and the system assigned the drive letters switched around. The boot drive I...
I have Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe, 300 GB SATA, a Raptor, 2 eVGA 6800 Ultras, DVDRW, 52X CDROM, and I chose the PC Power & cooling 510 Express. I wish I would have held out a little longer as they are rolling out an 850 Watt sucker with 2 PCI-e power connectors.
I just put together a system w/ an NFS formatted drive. My problem is that my son wants his old hard drive to still have access to his stuff. I don't know if his is really FAT32, but it's Windows Me.
What can be done? How do you convert file formats w/o messing it up?
I could really use your help. This system was a nightmare. A DOA HD and a DOA PSU really has stretched this out. Plus, I built each member of my family a PC before mine. I have installed RAID drivers before, but the drivers where on a provided floppy.
I just got through building a new system...
I've just built a new PC.
ASUS A8N-SLI
FX-55
6800 Ultra PCI-e
PC Power and Cooling 510W PSU
Coolermaster Stacker case
I've plugged in the case's leads into the 20 pin header as the manual shows. I've tried to switch the leads around. When I press the power button I get nothing. Short...
A newly built PC with a Floppy drive error (40) that is followed by a "Warning CPU has changed" error message appeared after the memory count and CPU post. The BIOS is unavailable beyond that. It offers "Press Delete", but no response when that is pressed.
The motherboard is new, but the AMD...
Pressing Delete doesn't get me into the BIOS. I've tried two different floppy cables now also.
Keep in mind that I've tried booting up with no floppy cable installed in mobo, so there shouldn't be a failed floppy to start with should there?
I'm trying hard to put together a working system for my daughter before she leaves today. Please help out if you have any ideas.
I've tried two different floppies. Floppy cable is connected properly. New PSU has power lead to the floppy. On boot, it stops with "Failed Floppy(s)" message and...
