Mantle followed in the footsteps of GLIDE by 3DFX (now part of NVIDIA). So I guess you could say that they were just several years behind NVIDIA once again.
So where is the source code for Mantle, Freesync, TrueAudio, etc?
AMD keeps making these claims about being "open", but so far it's all been a steaming pile of bullshit.
I'm willing to bet a lot of people will be disappointed when and or if this gets released and a lot of it is closed up.

One of the best games from that time.
Anandtech was sold to the same company that bought Tom's Hardware.
So I guess you agree with us that Tech Report should be sold.
I thought for sure they would be all over the AMD card killing driver issue. Maybe this is why is it was not such a big deal there? Who knows, but it's enough to...
His site was passed up for a review sample of Fury (like Hardocp and a few others). Odd that now AMD wants to work with him. But AMD is known for their shady marketing tactics, so this is par for the course. A shame that TR reviews will now have to be taken with a block of salt.
AMD posted on twitter there is a hotfix coming.

A lot of people complaining to them of broken cards. Sounds like a pretty serious issue.

Check your fan speed settings after upgrading to the new drivers. Or skip these drivers until there is a fix. Sounds like even if you manually adjust your fan speed it will still reset when...
He's complaining because it's NVIDIA. Which is why you agree with him. All games have bugs. Should we blame AMD for every crappy "gaming evolved" title that came out. Battlefield 4 had tons of problems. This is AMD's fault and it's hurting consumers.
I would add features to that list. These days a video card should be able to do more than just push a FPS meter.
It remains to be seen what the new manufacturing processes will offer.
Before usb a computer had AT, PS2, Serial, SCSI, Printer, Parallel and all sorts of other ports. It was a nightmare of cables and incompatible connectors.
Considering last year at this time they had 28.4%.
0.8% is akin to a statistical anomaly.
I think it's clear consumers were disappointed with Fury and several rebrands. Giving the appearance of something new may have gotten them less than a 1% increase, but unless they can bring a truly...
I can understand why game developers don't like working with AMD. Every time a game performs poorly on AMD hardware (sadly all the time these days), AMD fans say that the game is bad or the game developer is bad. They also will go on to attack the website that did the benchmarks or the person...
