I saw an open boxed 3080FE yesterday at BB and just walked by like it wasn't worth much to me. I have my two just waiting on 6800 release so I can get a couple of those and finish with upgrading our systems. Tomorrow I get my 5800x for the wife in and my 10850k for my work system.

If you realistically think the board is going to kill the cpu than its not an option. You won't be losing a noticeable amount of performance unless it's during benches even if your was hitting 4 vs 3.6 cache

The 3090 queues are far shorter than the 3080 queues because the people that actually want those are far fewer. Not many in that market and the people that would want to take advantage of the being able to sell one aren't as likely to want to put that much upfront.

I'm going to say if you own one of these boards you better go and download the bios for it before they are removed. It doesn't say anything about them being removed but remember how the bios that supported pci 4.0 on non 500 series were pulled. Next problem, if you don't live near a microcenter...

Until they get off 14nm it's going to be a hard sell for intel chips. Rocket lake is limited to 8 CPUs so it's going to have a hard time just catching the 10900k.
