Make sure that the power dongle that you have connected to the card has nothing else (except maybe a fan) drawing power from it. I have a Gainward 5900xt in one of my secondary systems and it is still a great card. It runs all the latest games with no problems. And its a great overclocker.
They have to charge sales tax to N.J. because they now have a phyiscal pressance in the state being as how they recently opened a huge wharehouse there.
For me its been great to have them in N.J. I pay for super saver shipping and I recieve anything they send from thier N.J. site in just...
Try reversing them. Put the stick you had in slot 1 into slot 3 and the the one that was in 3 into 1. I had a similar problem with 2 1gig sticks of Crucial in my DFI mb. Blue screens would happen at various times while playing games. Sometimes right away and others after playing for awhile...
Since switching between different sets of Nvidia drivers is reletivly safe and easy, try a few of them. Results seem to vary from system to system (especially with the Beta sets). Pretty soon you'll have formed your own opinions and find a set that works best for your system. For me and my lowly...
Just about all made 4800's. They are I step above 4400's and one step below 4600's. I had a Gainward 4800se Golden Sample. It overclocked to 4600 ultra specs. Towards the end of the Gforce 4's run, the 4800's were by far the best bang for the buck.
My Gainward 5900xt golden sample will run at near 5950 ultra specs, with almost any game I throw at it. The only glaring exception to this that I have tried is Doom 3. For Doom 3 if I set it to anywhere but a little higher than Gainwards stock enhanced setting, the lighting in Doom 3 goes haywire.
The 550 true power is the best PS that I have ever used. I love the fan control. It has really quieted down my rig during less stress times. Especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. ;) ;)
You are right. Sometimes I think my wife is right, (she should know aftter 34 years) I am a Moron. The simplest solution and it completly went right over my head. Thnnks.....
When I click start and then click the E-Mail icon it brings up the Internet options box. Before SP2 it would bring up Outlook Express. I do also have a shortcut to Outlook on my desktop, and that works fine. So, this is just an annoying problem and not critical. But does anyone know how to fix...
I thought Windows auto update was supposed to have SP2 on the 25. So far my auto update has not downloaded anything. Winows tells me its on. And I have an always on broadband connection. I thought I read that some people have already gotten thier auto update.
For me, when I installed the last Beta SP2. Before the update page would work I had to load up the services page and reset a couple of items to run automatically. Then all was fine. My problems with SP2 that some programs would not complete thier install (Far Cry patch,Doom3 ) untill I removed...
On the front page there is an entry about 5 critical windows updates. When I check the Windows update page it does not show any. Are they only for sp1 version? I have been running sp2 for about a month.
My last 3 cards have been Gainward Golden Sample versions. With this 5900xt I am currently clocked to 5950 Ultra specs.(Standard 128meg version, no softmod). And I still think theres a little more left in it. I am useing a Card Cooler blowing at it from above.
I have been running the latest SP2 with 9.0c for about 3 weeks. So far I am amazed how problem free it has been so far. But I would still only reccomend it for the brave. Unless you are one of Microsofts official beta testers you will not get any support for problems it may cause. When the final...
