Cleaning the garage where I had all these PC parts stored. I have them in one big box. The box includes hard drives, USB hubs, cables, fans, heat sinks, heat sinks + fans, CPU's, add-on cards, adapters, etc. Some parts are brand new still in the original box. $25
Again this is LOCAL only within...
Widgets now working. I guess I had to reboot the laptop twice. Seems a bit faster than 10 on this old Dell N7110 which was released back in 2011. Dell does not even have drivers for Windows 10. This model only supports 7 and 8. On the video driver for Intel HD Graphics 3000, I had to go in and...
Followed the instructions and got 11 23H2 installed. Took about 45 minutes from start to finish. The only item that does not work is widgets. Wants met to sign in, but this is a local account. Widgets worked in 10 on this same laptop. Not a big deal.
The other item was my thumb drive. I had to...
I have an old Dell N7110 laptop. It has the latest BIOS, but does not have UEFI or support GPT. It supports only MBR. I'm pretty sure I can install 11 on a fresh install using Rufus that will bypass the UEFI, TPM, and CPU requirement, but can I do an upgrade from 10 to 11 on this same machine...
Yeah I just got that same error on a laptop running windows 10 home; KB5001716 failed to install even after increasing that partition to >1 GB using mini tool partition wizard. I guess I'll just hid it.
Old fart here @68 yrs old, and sorry for my dumb question, but what are indie games? The last "new" game I tried playing was Doom Eternal. I liked the first 30 minutes or so of the game, but it got into too much jumping and did not feel like a Doom game. Most of my games I still have on CD/DVD...
I've noticed that it happens on Pro version. Haven't see the issue on Home version. I have that partition sized to 1 GB which should be more than enough and additional space, because knowing MS, they will come out with more updates that may involved that partition.
LOL - I keep my systems as long as possible until I get a hardware failure that requires upgrading. I'm still on my current desktop system from 2016 that ran Windows 7. I waited until 2019 to install Windows 10. Still using it now because I hate reinstalling.
That is because there is not enough room on the RIGHT side of the partition to resize it. You have to grab space from drive C using the Extend option. Using the slider worked for me, even though I gave it more than enough space. Not a big deal because most hard drives are now large, so giving it...
I got tired of it and just used MiniTool Partition Wizard to extend it to a little over 1g, then installed the update. The only option when extending the partition was 1g. I could not add just a few mb's with MiniTool.
I just ran into this on a fresh install of 10 home.
I guess MS is working on a fix: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsoft-working-on-a-fix-for-windows-10-0x80070643-errors/
