On the top heatsink, the tips/ends that stick out, they touch against the backplate on the gpu. And yes Qrash's post is quite helpful! it took me several tries to figure out the orientation i wanted and this seemed like the best. been going strong for about a year almost.

Had the same ram issue with my Dark Rock TF. I had the pipes point down towards the gpu. It doesnt touch anything else but the backplate on the gpu and it fits like a glove. This is on the p8z77i deluxe.

My Dark Rock TF works pretty incredibly, and I have and HDD on the side bracket with it.

it is going to be more expensive but i am most likely going to get a 1070 that fits and replace the cooler with the arctic acellero xtreme III

yeahhh it definitely should lol. my sf600 fan starts up about 5-10 min after boot no matter what im doing. it is silent after that though, i have never heard it while idle or load, my cpu and gpu are definitely louder

That is a nice card! But yeah im putting the accelero cooler on it so id feel bad going with that and just tear that cooler off, even though i would love the OC. Might just get the cheapest good card, like the aero
