NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Not sure about the spikes but I do think it can be related to the fan specs in the BIOS of the card not matching your new fans. You're probably never hitting the correct min. rpm for the fans? Here's a quick post/tip on what I did: post-1043722769

It's worth noting that the fan control/rpm setup will be different between the cards. You'll want your exhaust fan specs to fit with those in the BIOS of the card. I installed the Accelero on a FE card and had to flash it with the SC2 BIOS to get any proper fan control since the blower has way...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I agree, those have too little pressure for this card. You're going to need something like the iPPC-2000 or ML120 Pro. You will also need some sort of duct/shroud to ensure that the pressure reaches the heatsink. I don't see any reason to do this unless you have a bigger cooler, like an Accellero.

Note that the GPU bios is dialed in on the fans specs of the original cooler. These are not the same as the F12, meaning the GPU may think it's running it original fans at 50% but is actually pushing the F12s at max.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Yes, they're connected to the GPU. There should be plenty of power, don't let the small connector fool you. Fan headers are usually able to supply ~1A, in comparison a single F12 draws 0.05A and a ML120 draws 0.225A. You should see a decrease in GPU temp by facing the fans the other way...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Yes, 84c is the max limit, so the card may not be running at full speed. Double check that the fans have indeed max RPM using hwmonitor or something. Are the fans pulling air in or pushing it out? I installed the AC4 + extra heatsinks on the 1080ti FE with an SC2 bios and ended up with temps...

The coils (R22) does not fit with the opening. You'll have to modify/cut the hole bigger.

Isn't it possible to use the faceplate of the SC2 cooler to help distribute the heat? I believe I saw someone do that.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

This isn't an uncommon issue and I believe interference can often happen when multiple devices share the same "ground". I'm no expert on the matter, but I always separate the "ground" of my audio devices(TV and PC) from the amplifier using a "ground loop isolator". But before you start...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Very nice setup indeed :-) What RPMs are you getting from the ML120 fans when you set the fan control to the min. %? I'm running the SC2 bios on my 1080ti FE and the ML120s goes down to 440 rpm when set to min. (0 %). I also tested with the NF-f12 and they stop completely at 0 %, but I too...

I think that the Hybrid kit offers good performance but is a bit pricey + that you get than pump humming noise when your computer is idle – but I guess that's a personal preference kind of thing. I feel it's a bit of an overkill for the 1070 – but the installation is easier than the Accelero...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I'm guessing your card's bios is pretty close to the FE which means that the fan controllers min. is limited to 1100 rpm. The way I solved this for my 1080 Ti FE was to use the bios from the EVGA SC2 version of the card since it allows the fans to stop completely. (if the fan supports it that...

Though I'd share my little project; adapting the backplate of the Accelero IV to fit inside the NCASE M1 with an SFX-L PSU, to give the 1080 Ti adequate cooling with less noise. http://imgur.com/a/13nsI It's not pretty but it works, hopefully it can be useful to someone else playing with...

I believe the III comes with some sort of thermal glue. Personally, I got the IV and bought a whole lot of small alu heatsinks + thermal tape. I believe the tape is easier to remove if you decide that you want to go with a different solution later on.

Any thoughts on cramming the new EK Fluid Gaming A240G into the M1? I guess the main issue would be finding a nice spot for the pump/res... rear fan mount? Appears to be a good value cooling and it would be really "cool" to get a block on my 1080ti without breaking the bank.

Ah, thank you. From my experience with the 970, I needed to modify the VGA BIOS properties of the fan controller to achieve the appropriate speeds and temps for custom fans. No fan software would do as running the original fans at 100% was not the same for the custom fans. Not sure if it has to...

Were the Noctua fans running manually at 100 % ? You say that they're noisy so I'm assuming you didn't connect them to the GPU fan controller and tweak the curves. I'm interested in knowing how they work as exhaust and how the temps are :-)

As with most AIOs the pump speed is fixed, there is no PWM and you shouldn't try to change the pump speed through adjusting the voltage. The USB header is for monitoring water temperature, controlling the light and adjusting fan speeds. I.e. you are stuck with the constant humming noise of the...

Great to hear that your Prime95 results improved! Regarding the PSU position, I believe it's better to get fresh air from outside the case. At least, it stops the PSU fan from spinning too much. I picked the Redux fans because they offer a higher airflow and less noise(due to the reduced...

Here's my input. I've got the same MB and cooler as you, but I have the i5 4690k CPU instead. 1a) I dropped the second fan and replaced the original P14 fan with a F-P14r which has a PWM(4-pin) connector, a bit higher static pressure and more airflow. I mounted it on the case bracket instead...

Yes, it says top-down coolers of up to 130mm. The cooler in question is a tower cooler. To me, it looks like the high points are the tip of the heat pipes, and that you might be able to "adapt" it. Not sure if bending the whole thing could be an option as well, anyone tried something similar?

That sounds a bit high. Double check to make sure that there's good contact between the cooler and the cpu, and that the air manages to escape. Tried swapping out the fan(s)? I'm running a 4690k @ 4.3Ghz (1.225V) on my C14 with a single P14r fan, P95 temps are never above 80C. Max. temp I've...

I've tried the H75 both with a single and dual fans, however, only with an atx psu. Images in #13304. I would say that dual fans worked best and didn't add much to the overall noise. After the images were taken I remove the top fins from the ram to improve airflow noise. Deciding between one or...

In regards to flashing of the bios on GTX 970 cards, I, myself, had never done this before and I followed a small guide online. I was actually surprised at how simple and straight forward it was. I would not regard the operation itself as risky as long as you just stick to the different steps...

I used this to connect two NF-S12B fans to graphics card. And then, most important(!), I used the Maxwell Bios Tweaker to give the fan controller the correct fan specs. If this is not done you won't be able to achieve the correct fan speed/noise levels you desire, even if you are using fan...

I believe I've stated this before, the H75 fits fine with the two fans that come with it and you don't even have to have low profile RAM. Perhaps people are confusing it with another model? Here's a pic from my first build: There are different kinds of noise and multiple factors to...

Did you modify the bios on your card? When I installed the Accelero on my gtx 970 with two NF-S12B Redux I had to use the Maxwell Bios Tweaker to adapt the fan settings to fit the specs of the NF-S12B Redux. I didn't manage to get the correct fan speed using software like evga precision. I tired...

Like previously stated, the tridentX fits fine with the C14. It's also pretty easy to pop off the top of the cooling fin if you wish to attach another fan to the bottom of the cpu cooler. ddr3 doesn't really need that much cooling anyway.

I would just stick with the NH-C14, but exchange the fan for a NF-P14r Redux PWM and adjust the pwm to hit 100% at 80C. I've done this with my Pentium G3258 @4.5Ghz, and I think it's much more enjoyable than the humming from my previous Corsair H75i. My fans aren't even moving at idle...

With dual SP120L 120mm PWM fans and the standard fan settings form Gainward the idle temp is 27C, and after a couple of hours with BF4 the max is 57C. It's pretty quiet, but not quiet enough. I can post the results after testing out the NF-S12B Redux 1200 and tweaking the settings for quiet...

Yes, the fans are pulling in air at the bottom. I'll try to flip them and see how it affects temperatures. As of now GPU temps are between 50-60 while gaming. I'm using two corsair fans + this adapter. I've received my Noctua Redux fans this morning, so I'll be swapping out the Corsair fans in...

I just swapped out my HD 6950 for Gainward's GTX 970 with the blower style cooler. The overall quality of the cooler seems kinda cheap, and the fan breaks the sound barrier from time to time under high load. I'm considering swapping out the cooler if tuning the fan control doesn't work. Haven't...

It's an old PSU called MIST 650W, perhaps a rebrand of some sort. The GPU is a 6950 from XFX with the reference cooler. Actually the cables for the MB comes out beneath the gpu and there are two modular 12V plugs that sits just above the gpu, i.e. they wrap just fine around the card. As...

Didn't see any photos of a case with H75 and two fans in push 'n pull, so here's a couple of photos of my current build. CPU(2600k 3.4Ghz) temps are idling just below 30C, fans are running at 1200 RPM. During gaming temps are around 40C. Thank you guys for an excellent case!
