5820K is actually socket 2011 v3. The Noctua NH-C14S is compatible and probably the best cooler for the Ncase. There is also the Noctua NH-U9DXi4 which is a 90mm tower cooler and should be similar to the NH-U9S.
I agree, I am not a fan of exhaust out the side but with the peculiar exhaust of the FE it seems to work best. Yes just a 92x25 which you can also get in Chromax, I have one on my NH-L12 GE.
The best setup I have seen so far is rear fan as intake, NH-U9S blowing toward front of case, 2 bottom intake fans and a 120mm fan on the bracket as exhaust. This way both the CPU and GPU exhaust go out the side and the CPU isn't recycling the hot air from the GPU. I'm running a delidded 8700k...
You need either a different mother board or cooler. The MSI has a non standard back plate with 2 additonal cutouts for chips on the back of the board. The backplate used with the L9a would crush those components. So you either need a cooler that uses the included AM4 back plate or a different...
I wasn't talking about boards in stock, I checked Asus, Gigabyte, MSI and Asrock and Asrock is the only one that is actually making a matx x570 board. There are itx boards from Gigabyte, Asus and Asrock.
Good luck actually finding one of the 2070 itx cards, when Nvidia brought out the Super they discontinued the non Super versions so both the Gigabyte and MSI are impossible to find anymore. MSI has a product page for a RTX 2060 Super Aero itx although I haven't seen it for sale anywhere yet.
The sleeved cables included with the Platinum will be better than the flat cables included with the Gold, you will still have very long cables for the MI-6. I found custom cables just made things so much easier to build in the MI-6.
It is on the big size for my taste and is definitely a Ncase clone, one thing that is an improvement is the front intake which will help exhaust the GPU heat out the back.
They are actually very good, even at load they are very quiet. The Noctua are better, 94,2 m³/h vs 86,29 m³/h and 23,9 dB(A) vs 30,4 dB(A) but until the slim chromax are released these will work fine.
Updated the fans on my Ghost, I have a 34mm radiator so was unable to use 25mm fans. I was using Deepcool Gamer Storm 120 x 20mm but there were two problems with them, first was the funky blue color that did not go with my build and second the grill was sitting nearly on top of the fans and I...
I just checked Noctua's site and the C14S is listed as fully compatible with the B450i, not sure if you will need it but it should give you the best cooling in the M1. I am also about to do a new Ryzen build and went with the B450i, from all the comments I have read it seems to be the preferred...
