I've been using my Timeless 7hz IEMs with my deck, they sound great but I wanted to try my Hifiman Sundaras as they have a larger soundstage. The problem is the decks headphone port is not powerful enough to power the Sundaras to their full potential. So I was looking into a pocketable dac/amp...
For anyone wondering, I installed the beta version of the amd driver and it resolved my screen freezing in bf2042. I waisted all the time swapping cables for nothing lol.
The club3d cable did not resolve my issue with bf2042 locking up for half a second every 8 seconds or so :(.
I'm making major assumptions that it's the HDMI cable causing this however, I just can't think of what it would be.
Maybe I'll try an optical cable.
True, I will see how this club3d cable does when it arrives later today, and if I get the same issues I will just live with it.
Also, new question for all of you, I have the c3 42" as my main monitor and for work I use it connected to a mac laptop. For work I look at text 99% of the time...
God damn! Seems like even the professionals don't clearly agree on length/performance standards.
I'll try this club3d cable, and if I still get issues I'll try an optical cable, and if I still have issues after that I'll just live with it.
Maybe I should just man up and move my tower on top...
So I have now the 13ft and 10ft zeskit HDMIs, and I guess (?) Im getting less frozen screen with the 10ft over the 13 footer. I just ordered the Club 3D 13ft cable, so third times a charm hopefully.
Buy yeah, 2042 is the only game I have seen this behavior on, but it's also by far the most...
I just ordered the 10 foot zeskit, I'll see if that provides better performance over the 13 foot when playing battlefield 2042.
I thought it was odd, I've never had an issue with 2042 until I replaced my monitor and cable, even after I lowered the settings from high to medium.
Thanks.
That's what I ended up getting, TY.
"For more than 10 feet you really need fiber optic."
Oh yeah? I ended up getting the 13 foot zeskit, it seems to work well, however I've noticed odd lag, like my screen will freeze for half a second when playing battlefield 2042 at 4k at 120hz. This is the...
So I recently added a powered center speaker to my 2.1 speaker setup, so I now have a 3.1 speaker setup (Front L/R, a center speaker, and sub). Connected to my Windows 11 box, using 3.5mm connections.
In windows its a complete random mix of what uses only uses my front L/R speakers, or what...
Yeah, I can't believed I've waited this long to get a 42 c series, I kept thinking "this will be the year where it will get a major upgrade" but I've been wrong for so many years now. I should have just gotten the CX.
It's funny watching all the OLED monitor announcements during CES, a few years ago I would have lost my mind, but now that I have a 42" monitor I can't do anything smaller, so nothing at CES grabbed my interest.
I wonder if people could only choose one option, what would look better in most TV viewing cases; a TV with no blooming but lower HDR highlights, or a TV with blooming but good HDR highlights.
I would personally probably go for the good HDR, as I use my TV mainly for sports and gaming, and from...
Yeah, Samsung has announced a 42" OLED at CES, however the panel is probably just LGs 42" panel.
HOWEVER, I'm mentioning this because perhaps it means we will get a 42" 16:9 QDOLED in the future.
Rumour has it Sony will be focusing heavily again on LED panels mainly due to higher nit capabilities.
Don't flame me I'm just the messenger.

Damnit LG, just give us the option to buy the G series features just at a smaller sizes. Not everyone wants a 55" and up. Everyone I know living in apartments has a 42" to 48" TV.
yeah it was another year of stagnant progression for the C series, I wouldn't mind it so much if you could get the G series features in a 42" version, but no.
The biggest feature I'm most interested in (but can't seem to find much info on yet) is the rumour that LG will use a new RGWB subpixel...
Yeah it seems like LG has accepted that the 42" is strictly a TV and won't be upgrading it to have monitor features. Probably safe to say now that the C series will continue to offer the same features it has now for the next few years, with maybe slightly faster processing.
Dang...

Some interesting updates, for example LG implementing a new sub pixel layout. And that 240hz 16:9 42" panel has just been completely removed from all roadmap information, so maybe fully canceled, which is a huge kick in the groin to me.
So I guess we won't be getting that 240hz 42" 16:9 panel we heard about at the beginning of the year. LG just released their scheduling for CES and there is no mention of it...

Just a question, I see that there is no interest/price checks allowed. Is there any option in the HardOCP forum to do that? Like a daily question post?
I actually have a Belkin dock, connecting the USBC cable to the dock I can go from the dock to my two monitors via HDMI and DP, however the dock has another USBC output, I connected a USBC to HDMI adapter into it, then ran an HDMI cable to my third monitor but it wouldn't connect.
I also tried...
It was a work computer, I had no say on the model. I'm not complaining, I be fine with my two monitors, I just wanted to know if I could get all three going
when you say my player, do you mean like VLC?
uahhh, I didn't even think of seeing if there is a smoothness option within the NV display settings, good call, I will test that tonight. .
Correct, I'm just plugging my tv directly into my media server, when I turn my TV I see the windows desktop, no frontend like plex.
Thats what I was thinking of, but I guess it's really only for AV1, a format I rarely use.
I have done lots of homework on what TV I want, I'm pretty locked into...
I'm going to assume this can't be done. But I just got myself a M3 (not max) Macbook Pro. I have three external 4K monitors that I would like to connect to it, but according to this apple page I can only connect two external monitors, and I would need the m2 or m3 max chip in order to connect...
Yeah I learned more last night after you guys mentioned it about 24fps jutter, and the problem I'm getting is probably that. It seems like many new TVs made today boast about how they can smooth 24fps contect, apperenrly the A95L I was looking at does this well.
Yes, movie rips, I guess I got...
Yeahhhh because of everything I've read here, I'm starting to think I simply have been dealing with 24fps content... and not some hardware limitation... Also, my current TV is so old that the built in prime/netflix apps are so slow to use that I just use prime/netflix in a browser via the media...
