As a S23 user I think it's a rather nice phone overall. Battery life has been greatly improved and performance is on another level (I had S22 Exynos version). Camera is not great though but at least it has dedicated tele. Also I'm not a huge fan of flat sides. It makes the phone feel larger and...
It actually didn't blow out the sky. Samsung had very weird contrast that made the clouds look like there was a chance for rain. It was bright day and the clouds should have looked white. Slightly clipping the bright end would have been the correct choice because now it just made the sky and...
Ahh... ATI Rage IIc... The card that deaccelerated my childhood games and ruined my gaming experience. There was not a single game that worked flawlessly. Though, at that time video cards aged like milk but still.
There's no magical switch. It requires a lot of work to get it working. Now with ray tracing and other stuff it probably would be even harder if not impossible in practice.
Current situation sucks... On paper Samsung is the best choice. Software support is good and the specs are usually good. I don't really like One UI and Samsungs camera processing is far from perfect. Uhh... I'd like to avoid Chinese phones but I'm somewhat interested to see how Leica + Xiaomi...
So I today decided to do some proper comparisons between the two phones. To be honest, I was pretty underwhelmed when I got the S22. It didn't feel like the camera improved at all. Now that I did a proper comparison in real word situation... I have to say that S22 is more like downgrade than...
I don't know why they keep adding those trash cameras. Only the main camera is usable. Ultrawide would benefit from >8MP sensor. That macro camera... Is the year 2006?
If it's the same as previous Tensor, in other words Exynos in disguise, it (modem) will be crap. Pray that they do not use RDNA2 based Xclipse GPU. I really hate it on my S22. The real world performance is bad and it's pretty obvious that the lack of proper OpenGL ES drivers hurts the...
I had AE-5 in my system for quite some time but the problem is... I can't obviously use it with my work laptop and the audio it outputs is garbage (just using it with headphone amp isn't enough). So now I'll use Topping E30 + L30 instead in terms of performance and power it does wipe the floor...
Too big & heavy. Also the SoC choice is a letdown. Personally I'm interested in switching my S22 to Asus ZenFone 9 - I'd loose tele but otherwise it would definitely be better. OneUI sucks. Exynos sucks. Camera is a letdown (coming from Huawei P30).
I did upgrade to R4 later and it made life easier. My current P600s is on another level of flexibility though and cable management was a non issue (and air actually flows now).
You could make Bixby routine that sets do not disturb mode on when Teams or Meet is open or just manually turn do not disturb mode on before starting the meeting.
It was a massive mistake to scrap MeeGo and go with Windows Phone. N9 was extremely promising start for MeeGo as proper phone os. It was really smooth & fluid to use and multitasking worked great.
My RTX 3060 Ti started showing classic signs of memory failure today. At first I wondered why some black boxes appeared when I hovered desktop icons. Then in game:
Also black boxes and even spikes across the screen from some in game models. Also driver crashed four times. After that I restarted...
In my opinion performance boost should be at least 1,5x better and ideally at least double. Anything less just isn't worth it. 1,25x ish performance increase isn't that noticeable.
I just don't see any real use case for Android tablet like this. It would be better with Windows. The problem with Android tablets is that they are basically phones with large screens. You don't gain anything over smartphone.
Here in Finland pre-ordereds start shipping tomorrow. Some even got shipping notifications yesterday.
Promotions were quite sweet this time: Galaxy Pro Buds, -200 € off and on top of that at least -150 € off if you exchange your old phone.
I ordered S22 256GB version for 749 € (inc. 24% VAT) and on top of that they are giving Galaxy Buds Pros. Not too bad... In any case I want to get rid of my Huawei P30. Also Samsung is not promising four generations of Android updates (five years of security updates) which is pretty nice.
I'm pretty sure that I'll buy vanilla S22. Ultra and + are just too large and heavy. S22 is even tiny bit smaller than my Huawei P30 which is nice improvement. Only thing I don't like is the battery size, which is essentially identical to P30. The fact it has 120hz screen and Exynos (here in...
I'd imagine that the performance would be actually quite good with full pcie 4.0 bandwidth. Most people why would by this card definitely have PCIe 3.0 system so this card feels really weird. On top of crappy video decoding & encoding block.
Telus seems to support wifi calling and VoLTE. If Moto G7 Play supports it the those settings should be buried somewhere in mobile connections settings.
