Ok I came up with an idea that worked... went into the bios and set it to IDE, then I started the install of Windows 7 x64, on the first reboot I hopped into the bios and reset the bios to AHCI. The machine rebooted and went right into windows, it installed the AHCI drivers on boot up. It...
well have tried several copies of windows, both my retail versions and an OEM. I even tried a downloaded copy for good measure. I then tried all the discs I had imaged over to a flash drive. That did not work either. same issue
How does an OS get broken? There is not a single scratch on the disc, on top of that it's an original disc.
Oh I see what you mean. No it's not a 'cracked' copy.
I have an Asus X54c laptop
The sata controller is:
Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller - 1C03
it is working in windows RIGHT NOW, however for whatever reason the drivers will not work if I try to install windows 7 from scratch. This is quite annoying...
I once lost a motherboard when my methanol based chiller had caused condensation on the back side of the motherboard. Negative temperatures sure are sexy. I guessed I should have used WAY more artist gummy eraser on the back of the board
Intel HD graphics showing code 12 (not enough resources)
this is on my laptop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, even updated it. it shows up fine in safe mode. Ideas?
Thanks
My son recently damaged my computer, he dumped about 350ml of water in it while it was running
I am going to have to (most likely) replace the Motherboard, and MAYBE the CPU... with that in mind, I would like to look at budget combos from MICROCENTER.
Any ideas?
I have the following...
not sure what you are meaning by number one... the computer is under a flight of open stairs (unfinished)
I was doing the dishes when this happened. The toddler asked me for a glass of water, so I gave it to him... little did I know.
toddler dumped water on my computer. Computer shut off... so what now?
First thing I did was tear everything down and blow dry the board, After that I placed the mainboard in a plastic bag full of quick rice and tied it off
so what should I do from here? and what is likely to be dead?
well I NORMALLY an within range of wireless G. But it seems like installing programs and such over the network would defeat the purpose.
Star Trek Online is only about 6GB installed... so that would be no problem... HOWEVER WoW is 23GB
at one point in time, on my main computer, I had...
I have an Asus X54c-BBK3 laptop, that was recently dropped (the joys of having kids) and the hard drive is now dead... I have been debating on weather I would get a 64GB SSD, OR another 320GB old school hard drive. The price is the same no matter what I get ($55)
The only game I plan to...
