Great deal...awesome that you snagged it! I wish I had PCs left to put 7800X3Ds in. The only one that doesn't have one has a 7950X3D but those things aren't worth much these days so it would be a pointless swap (I much prefer 7800X3D for gaming).
Yo!
Got this from the sketchiest of sketchy sources and everything seems OK - but these temps do seem a bit high? Thoughts?
Should I see any thermal throttling on a 4090???
Workload is Time Spy stability test (run of 20) and a round of Fortnite with Lumen on high (RTX heavy)…
Hello all,
Today I am selling an ASUS TUF NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER card. I purchased this on February 12, 2024. It was gently used for gaming in my son's rig.
Comes complete with box and all accessories plus a PDF receipt from Micro Center.
$750 shipped via UPS Ground with insurance -...
Yeah, they're definitely my preferred laptop CPU as I use thin and light gaming laptops (currently a Razer Blade 14 2024 4070; previously an ASUS Zephyrus G14 2023 4060 - both with basically the same CPU - 7940HS to 8945HS). Cool, great performance, and really good battery. Intel still reigns...
I have to admit - thought it was new…my settings were different prior to the update but when I played on another PC (even after the update) - it wasn’t the same. Figured out it was a setting for Lumen. Somehow my settings changed after the driver update on one versus the other (rig that worked...

This is a 7800X3D and an RTX 4080 SUPER @ 1080p/360Hz (full specs) - it's a free game so grab it if you have an NVIDIA card. Just check out fireplaces and stuff. It is crazy. Finally the houses are dark when not lit or having light coming in. Just crazy immersive.
Hi all,
Selling my gently used and mint condition Sapphire Nitro+ 7900 XTX - the best 7900 XTX out there. Complete with box and accessories. Has a great compact size - stout and wide versus other massive 7900 XTXs - making it perfect for cases with limited space. 320 MM length - full specs...
Nice! They countered my $775 with that $820. I think I'm sticking with the 4080S - card tests out perfectly, complete with box and all accessories, and full 3 year warranty.
That's your call. The 16GB versus 12GB versus 24GB VRAM thing is so overblown. But if you have a use case where you need 16GB of VRAM - there ya go...problem solved. kirbyrj is merely pointing out the obvious value champion - the 4070S. Frankly, I'd go that route if buying today. The 5xxx series...
The market seems more aware of this than ever before. Maybe it's because the AI hype has trickled down more than another other previous hype train (i.e. crypto).
Anectdotally, I have been looking for a cheap 4090 (yeah, sold mine...now missing that 6th gear) and the market is pretty full of...
Yeah or trickle down upgrade-o-nomics could help - people selling their 4080/4090 cards to get 5090!
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy SUPER now - my fav is the 4070S for bang/buck.
I'll give you that. The rumored ads and the tracking stuff is bad - but easily blocked by any technical [H] member. The day to day use IMO is better than ever.
So much crazy hyperbole about Windows 11 in this thread. EVERY new Windows release - you guys hate it. Hahaha.

You guys do realize Windows 11 can never replace Windows 10 as most of those Windows 10 devices can't even run Windows 11 due to the new hardware requirements. So there's really no news there, it is by design - for better or for worse. TPM modules and all of that...
So has mine! With all the beta BIOS to boot - I always put the cutting edge BIOS on since I got to the platform.
Are you using DDR5-6000 at 6200 or is it a kit meant for that speed? Share any good vids I am down to tweak after being inspried by Dopamin3 !
Looks like slightly slower results on the ASUS side (same mem kit, new BIOS with Combo AM5 PI 1.1.7.0 patch A):
Maybe it's a 7800X3D thing? Slightly slower than the 7950X3D in mem?
EDIT: booted into BIOS and double-checked that I applied everything correct - verified.
Everyone has various risk tolerances. I'm more with you - while others just love watercooling. I'm not as worried about the leaks but what I don't like is how much more difficult it makes it to upgrade. So many of my buddies will hold off on getting a new component (that'll be 30% faster) due to...

Looks good!
Mem kit is F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5N.

I’ve got the same kit on my other 3 AM5 rigs so I’ll keep tuning!
That's rad. I have been almost like that with AM5. I rocked ASUS only during AM4 and now I am a convert. Loving ASRock stuff.
I've been messing with the rigs a bit (mostly gaming) and temps seem lower? Not sure if they removed some default bumps or what. I am not hitting red temps (high 80s C)...
It's a mess. :)
It has always been guru but there is also MSI who you would think would be the main spot - as it is "MSI Afterburner". For a while they lagged...I think there was some kind of dispute going on between the developers and them. Anyway...happy to use alternatives that have one home...
