Video Game Hall of Fame Class 2024

You can't expect folks to have played or seeked out to play something before they were born. Hell there isn't enough GFX to keep their attention for more then a minute. Video games are not like film movies where the "system" hasn't changed in 100 years. No one named Jacob or Madison was playing...

Is this SAMA 1000w any good?

I'm gonna give it a try. I have lots of good 750W PS but it would be nice to have something that I wouldn't stress about if I wanted to drop in an unnecessarily power wasting GPU, or even a borderline one and feel confident about it. Will report back on my initial thoughts.

intel 13th and 14th gen xx900 and xx700 may have defective cores causing crashes in gaming

Yes exactly. It was definitely a low point for Intel. They got caught out for running absolutely exotic cooling with huge power requirements. So funny :ROFLMAO: @GoldenTiger it is hilarious you have such bad memory in regards to this event that you go to levels of telling us it was basic water...

intel 13th and 14th gen xx900 and xx700 may have defective cores causing crashes in gaming

What kind of elitist fanboi BS are you pushing here? A high-end CPU and high-end MB should ABSO-FUCKING-LOOTLY guarantee your setup is going to work flawlessly in out of the box configurations. Hell one just bought the best of everything with assumed, over spec components! To suggest that one...

Did Drivers Save The Radeon 8500?

I bought one initially near launch. The original reason I tried the Ati 8500 was its much better TV-out which was a big deal to me back in the day. Then returned it shortly because of drivers. Swapped it for a GF3-200 which was the same price but with lower RAM. Keep it for a while but it was a...

MSI ends AMD GPU partnership due to poor sales

MSI has made some direct partnerships with Intel in regards to MSI's handheld Steam Deck competitor. They are the only ones willing to do so at the moment, but it shows that there is something going on between them and there maybe something similar with Asrock as well? Intel has deep pockets and...

MSI ends AMD GPU partnership due to poor sales

Asrock has made AMD cards for a while. You make it sound like they just shoved some out the back door last weekend. Gigabyte has made all models of the RDNA series including their most recent card. If they stopped making the top models it is because they have enough stock. They haven't stopped...

Some Intel CPUs lost 9% of their performance almost overnight

Not to derail. It should not have required extra voltage never mind a HEFTY one. That was the whole magic of the 300a was it was a hobbled chip for market segmentation and simply just needed to be set to 100MHz bus. Maybe poor paste or lacking cooling which was the norm back in the day. Poor...

Backing up a drive to an external. Most reliable ways?

I have internal 8TB drives that are updated with additional files on a weekly basis. I have 8TB externals that are dedicated for each internal drive. My question is what is the easiest most reliable way to do the backup? Is it just imaging software to drive copy? My externals are not connected...

    Radeon RX 7900 GRE Review

I found this OC guide quite good. He does a great job of explaining all of the options pre-and-post bios update with a great explanation of what really works and what doesn't. You don't need new paste to reseat and test a CPU. We won't be stress testing the CPU in this case and have no reason to do so but would have limited effect anyways. We're tying to get you to a solid boot with a functioning desktop correct?
