We had a tornado touch down on Broadway (a main street) and it went down for miles. Just right down the middle of the street. Didn't hurt anyone, it's like it was following traffic rules and everything.

Howdy. Yeah the thing is, while tornadoes are absolutely devastating -- they have about as much kinetic energy as a hurricane -- they're really small. Most of them are only maybe 10 yards wide. They're also really unpredictable and can stop and start, they sort of wink out at times.
