    WoW Consumes You

When I started WoW, the game seemed intimidating and a bit boring. However, after Blizzard worked out some of the server issues and made the game playable, I reached level 10. Once you pass level 10, the world really starts to open: Chimera flights, warping across the entire world, trade...

Super Computer Cost per MFlop and many more stats

I think the webmaster is a Mac Head, but the numbers are fascinating. The G5 wins every GFLOP/MFLOP per dollar and is the cheapest SuperComputer to run.... Still, the new IBM BlueGeneL is amazingly powerful, if not a bit expensive. http://www.bayarea.net/~kins/AboutMe/CPUs.html

    Opteron 150 > Xeon 3.6GHz Nancona by HUGE Margin@Anandtech

Anandtech finally did a real comparison of the new Nancona 3.6GHz CPU against the Opteron 150: http://www.anandtech.com/linux/showdoc.aspx?i=2163&p=8 I thought that sounded biased until I looked over the results. The Opteron 150 is definitely doing better than the Xeon at this point.

SMP Dream: AI on CPU0 | Graphics on CPU1

Dedicated AI on CPU0 with dedicated graphics pumping on CPU1.... Wouldn't this remove a giant bottleneck that game developers face? Then again, with only 1/10000 of gamers willing to build dualies, I guess the market just isn't present. Imagine the complexity of the AI on a dedicated 2.4Ghz...

Socket 775 | Tomshardware doesn't bash AMD = Intel in trouble

I don't know how many of you follow the general pattern of Tomshardware.com of the past few years, but even when AMD takes the lead, Toms always proclaims Intel the winner because of "other factors."
