The perfect 4K 43” monitor! Soon! Asus XG438Q ROG

Hope they come out with an updated DP 2.0 model next year so you don't have to make sacrifices between 10bit or 120hz then it would be perfect. Have a 4" 4K 60hz at the moment but when it dies I'll look for a decent upgrade. Could fit a 43" perfectly

When is a 2080ti refresh due to hit market?

Only thing they could do to beef up the 2080 TI would be to drop in another 1GB of memory taking it to 12 GB and dripping in faster GDDR6 at 16 Gbps, maybe OC the core a bit. But I feel they are saving the faster memory jump for their next gen 7nm cards. They only went to 15.5Gbps for the 2080S...

    Navi discussion thread

Slowly getting closer to having a card worthy of upgrading to... Likely Big Navi or Nvidia Ampre for me. AMD or Nvidia would have my money in 2020: 7nm+ 12GB+ GDDR6 18Gbps Display Port 2.0 Better than next gen console performance (should set you up for 5-7 years of games designed for that...

    [H] Throwback

So back in High School (2004) I attempted to use [H] website's layout for a School Project. That web site is down but the page I started using is still up. As the future of hardocp is unknow I thought it was a good chance to share for us old folks that are still around. Been a tech geek for a...

    Nvidia is preparing something SUPER

Have a Valve Index on order and need to upgrade my SLI 980 Super Clock as its only just above the min spec for the headset. To run this thing at 144hz I need some serious horsepower. VirtualLink would be nice for my headset, AMD is unfortunately not using it. Think I'm holding out until 2020 for...

    Acer CG437K P - 43" 4K@144 Hz HDR1000 AdaptiveSync

Nice to see some competition with Asus and their 43” ROG Strix XG438Q 120hz. They have been dragging their feet getting that one released... Curious how Acer is going to get 144hz out of this thing at 4K when Asus couldn't? Unless they are running multiple display ports or HDMI? Assuming they...

    Rift S

I agree, I don't see this as a upgrade to the Rift. You can't even use your existing equipment with it. I plan to jump in on VR once the Valve Knuckles and a Valve tracker compatible higher res (HP Specs+) headset hits the market.

The HP headset seems like a much better option at least per the specs.

    Samsung Introduces Next Generation HBM2E

No way Navi is getting this, all rumors report it will use DDR6 and targeted at low/mid range. This memory will cost more than an entire Navi card... Maybe for the next gen instinct cards. However single stack HBM cards are now a viable option, may make mini-pcs and laptops even faster with...

Real-Time Ray Tracing Support Comes to GeForce GTX GPUs and Game Engines

Dang Maxwell got left out of Adaptive Sync and RTX :coffee: would have been nice to play around with some basic lighting demos. Although it may still work with Cry engine. Maybe Nvidia is trying to tell me something. Now get off my virtual rasterized lawn!

Halo: The Master Chief Collection Is Coming to the PC

Dug these old pics up from circa 2003~ on my archive drive, I was excited years ago! To the point of modding 1942. Will be sad with no cross-play however.

NVIDIA Could Tease Next-Gen 7nm Ampere at GTC 2019

Waiting on a 7nm part to upgrade, feels like this will be one of the last decent jumps in performance as node shrinks get harder and more expensive. Hope to get another 4years our of my rig. Running 980s in SLI circa 2014. Needs to run all current and near future titles and next gen console...
