    Help with Win ME image

    - I need to boot to the computer to access the quickbooks version it had on it. - I had initially tried pulling off the files and using a trial version to no avail. It needs the original password when switching in between versions. - I used R-Studio. First I did a byte for byte image...

    Help with Win ME image

I have Windows ME image that I need to make usable. Unfortunately I don't have the system it originated on. The OS has an old version of Quickbooks on it, and I can't copy the files into a new version of quickbooks because of a password issue. Is there any way to make this boot on a...

The I Wish I Knew Then What I Know Now Thread

The main thing I learned is this: As cool and versatile as Linux is, learning how to setup a HTPC/Server is hard and time consuming, and frustrating. I knew very little when I started. Granted it can be relatively simple if the hardware plays nice, but I'm probably making the jump to...

    Pico PSUs

Thanks. I actually had a 200W PSU with a dell DA-2 that recently died and am setting up another one. I just wanted to be sure that going to all of the trouble of modding it out was worth it. It's ridiculous that they advertise 90 - 150 Watts in some of these packages and then throw a crappy...

    Pico PSUs

This is where I get confused though - on the back of the brick you multiply amps and voltage to get total watts going into the PC and usually it's way less than the what the PICO PSU can output. I assume I'm missing some conversion process but I'm curious what it is.

    Pico PSUs

I'm really annoyed and should probably just be confused... They always sell Pico PSUs rated at 150W with bricks that only out put about 90W. Am I missing something? For Example

Piracy Means No Money To Make Movies

+1 Totally agree, why go to the theater when I can sit in my comfy home with out teenagers yelling at the screen or sitting uncomfortably close to me.

Piracy Means No Money To Make Movies

I can't, I'm weak willed - the popcorn is like waiving crack in front of a recovering crack addict. I used to be big guy - not in a muscular way either. My main gripe is that as far as I know, it costs next to nothing for them to produce the popcorn and fill sodas. But now they have to...

Piracy Means No Money To Make Movies

I can see this making sense, it's just the limit on refills of popcorn and soda that irk me. I may occasionally refill my drink and never my popcorn, but the fact that it is so expensive and now there is a limit of one FREE refill (not free) bothers me.

Piracy Means No Money To Make Movies

$600,000,000 that's it? I heard some theaters were already sold out of advance ticket sales. Don't get me wrong I could really care less about this movie - but here is how it's going to work. They are going to release it for only two weeks - find such a demand that they will extend it for...
